Optical intelligence for wagon load-profile inspection.

Load Balance is an MVIS application for non-contact observation of railway wagon loading profiles. It combines optical sensing, image analysis and configured measurement logic to identify loading patterns that require verification.

Optical sensing and railway inspection
OPTICAL SENSING / PROFILE ANALYSIS
LOAD BALANCE

Observe the loading profile without physical contact.

Capture repeatable visual and geometric evidence for configured loading conditions.

Turn loading geometry into structured inspection information.

Uneven loading can appear through changes in wagon height, lateral distribution, load envelope or other configured profile indicators.

MVIS provides a repeatable sensing layer that can observe those conditions and create an inspection event when configured criteria are met.

CORE CAPABILITIES

From optical capture to evidence.

  • Non-contact optical profile acquisition
  • Defined measurement and inspection zones
  • Left/right and zone-based profile comparison
  • Load-envelope monitoring
  • Configured abnormal-profile detection
  • Event records with image and measurement context
INSPECTION VALUE

A repeatable checkpoint for loading conditions.

The application is intended to support authorised inspection workflows by making configured loading observations more consistent, traceable and evidence-led.

Detection thresholds and response rules should be engineered and validated for the specific wagon type, sensing arrangement and governing railway procedure.

What the system can observe

The exact measurements and thresholds are deployment-specific. Typical inspection logic can be configured around the following conditions.

Load Distribution

Compare configured left/right or zonal observations to identify potential imbalance patterns.

Load Profile

Observe the visible or measured profile of the load against a configured inspection envelope.

Lateral Shift

Highlight configured lateral asymmetry or shifted-load patterns requiring verification.

Abnormal Condition

Generate an event when the observed profile meets a validated detection condition.

Engineering note: A detected condition is an inspection indication, not by itself a maintenance disposition. Verification and rectification must follow the applicable railway loading rules, approved procedures and authorised engineering criteria.

From sensing to verification.
